Gypsy

A collection close to my heart — inspired by a gypsy woman I met years ago through a friend in Mahemdabad, Kheda district, Gujarat. At the time, she was staying in the neighborhood, bartering her handcrafted creations. We spent some time together, exchanging stories, and I happened to admire a piece of jewelry she was wearing. That very piece — now one of my most loved and worn possessions.

It’s a simple wristband, made from rags, threads, buttons, and beads she had gathered along her travels — a small, tangible fragment of her gypsy life that I now carry with me.

This limited edition series carries forward that memory, woven into my own assemblage of materials gathered across different places and journeys — infused with a touch of retrofuturism.
